FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE
There is not great devaluation in the rate of exchange of the Peruvian currency (New Sol) with the U.S. Dolar.
Foreign currency is freely exchanged around Peru, and U.S. Dollars as well as Euros can be easily exchanged in Banks, Exchange Houses and Hotels.
There is also a parallel market for people exchanging foreign currency around financial institutions. Extreme caution is advised as counterfeit banknotes are in circulation.
